Since birth, it is believed that beings stand over people, either fairy godmothers or dangerous fairy godmothers, fortunately also guardian angels. Along the way of adolescence, they meet creatures of various types and characters, creatures of good or of evil, creatures of various real and unreal kinds, creatures heroic or cowardly, or both. The world is crowded with beings mythical as well as cosmic. People are also surrounded by the seemingly simple beings they meet every day on the streets, and on closer inspection they find that often beneath the veneer of the ordinary there is a being of surprising interest.
