Port Speciál: Noční prohlídka historickou Varnou
*A commented evening tour of the historic Varna of the former Schwarzenberg brewery will take place in the summer programme of Port Specials at the Port 1560 centre in Český Krumlov.* When the hustle and bustle of visitors in the Port 1560 centre dies down in the evening, the door to another world opens - to the space where Krumlov beer was brewed for centuries, and where the wooden rafters, copper boilers and concrete floors still tell their story. In these summer Port Specials, the historic Varna of the former Schwarzenberg brewery, where time has stood still, is opened under the guidance of a guide. The exhibition entitled Work depicts the daily life of a brewer and brings to life the challenges of brewing beer in a time when modern technology was lacking, but production was based on many years of tradition. An evening visit offers a unique atmosphere of the old neo-Gothic Varna under the cover of darkness, when even familiar corners seem more mysterious and magical. The tour will end with a sitting with small snacks and beer from the local brewery.
