*One-day graphic workshop under the guidance of Pavle Piekar.* Visitors can come and spend an inspiring weekend full of creativity and artistic expression. At the workshop they will immerse themselves in the world of linocut under the guidance of renowned artist Pavel Piekar. Participants will learn the basics of this technique and create their own artwork to take home. *Pavel Piekar* Pavel Piekar was born in 1960 in Ostrava. He grew up in Tábor from the age of three. He studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering ČVUT in Prague and after graduating in 1983 he was employed in the research department of Průmstavu. Since 1990 he has worked at the National Gallery. In his studio in Dejvice he has been systematically working on the technique of black and white and colour linocut for more than 26 years. Each print is created according to a precise, realistic drawing. The pattern or parts of it are copied onto individual plates - a special matrix is created for each colour - and the result is a coloured linocut. Depending on the difficulty of the subject, the number of individual colours varies between 5-50. Printed by the artist, in small editions, the individual colours are created by mixing ink and oil paints. He has been exhibiting regularly since 1990, both in group and solo exhibitions. His prints are represented in both public and private collections. He is a member of the associations Umělecká beseda and Hollar. *Practical information:* - Workshop price: 1400 CZK (20% discount with Krumlovák Card in the visitor centre) - Children and students: 1100 CZK - Course duration: 1 day (6h) with a break for lunch - The workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up. - 6 - 6 days for children (lunch and lunch for children). Minimum number of participants to start the course. Maximum group size: 15 persons - Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the PORT 1560 Visitor Center, but no later than 7 days before the event date.
