Museum of Commerce

You will never run out of places to visit in Český Krumlov. The city is full of hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered by visitors like you. Museum of Commerce is one of those places and it's admission free. Teleport yourself 100 years back to experience what it was like to go shopping during the First Republic.

Go shopping in the 1920's style

The museum presents an original preserved merchant's shop as well as a museum exhibition featuring magnificent historical cash registers, containers for coffee, calculating machines, and various types of scales and packaging for food, beverage and cosmetics. Get your hands on everyday objects that your grandparents might have used on a daily basis. The exhibition takes only 20-30 minutes.

Even though the museum is quite small, it still attracts more than 70.000 customers every year. Join them and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the not-so-distant past.

Buy a non-traditional souvenir

In the museum shop you can select and buy replicas of old tin advertising signs from the largest collection of authentic historical sign replicas from the times of Austria-Hungary (until 1918) and the First Republic (1918 – 1938). Gather inspiration from the authentic atmosphere of the museum when choosing a non-traditional and unique souvenir for yourself or a gift for your loved ones.
